Zonta Club of North Sydney Breakfast (ZCNSB) is a member club of Zonta International (ZI) and one of 30 clubs in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory. ZI is a leading global organization that aims to empower women worldwide through service and advocacy. ZI is represented at UNWomen and works collaboratively with UNICEF and various non-government organizations.
Founded in 1919, ZI’s advocacy includes supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals, focusing on Goal #5 (Gender Equality and Empowerment of All Women and Girls). Zonta International is active in more than 63 countries. Examples of Zonta International's projects are found here.
ZCNSB is based on the Lower North Shore of Sydney. It began operating in 2007. It meets on the third Thursday of every month. Meetings are held at the North Shore Private Hospital, thanks to its generosity in providing the venue.
The Club helps women in Australia and worldwide, sometimes partnering with other organizations. Our Birthing Kit project, for example, is undertaken in conjunction with the Birthing Kit Foundation Australia and ZCNSB is a member of the Lower North Shore Domestic Violence Network.
ZCNSB depends on the financial generosity of the community, as well as a dynamic team with the capacity and energy to meet its objectives.
